Several landmark projects are underway and in planning which highlight local, state and federal government investment in Eurobodalla and reflect our growing role in the NSW economy.
The first phase of the Moruya Airport upgrade has been completed with improvements creating opportunity to either base at the facility or exploit it as a market gateway to the rest of the nation and Southeast Asia. As our population grows and our tourism, food and marine economy sectors thrive, the area is set to become a hub of opportunity.
The new Batemans Bay bridge will be a landmark construction allowing four lanes of traffic to flow unimpeded across the Clyde River. As well as improving travel times, this will also lead to a significant reimagining of the riverfront around Batemans Bay’s café precinct and offer flow on opportunities across the towns central business district. This sense of cultural renewal is also reflected in the Mackay Park cultural precinct development, which will see a major new arts and aquatic centre herald a new era of arts and culture in our Shire.
With Council actively investigating opportunities such as a deep water marina and aquaculture and hatchery facilities, intelligent and informed development is set to continue throughout Eurobodalla.
